Letter to Younity

I am writing this note to convey my deepest appreciation for the support that Younity has given to bring Challenge Day to REALMS.  It is impossible to measure the positive result of the experience we all shared.  In just the two weeks that followed our challenge day, we have students banding together to impove the overall culture of our school.

We have assembled a "team" of students and adult support to continue the positive messages and feelings that came as a direct result of the amazing experience.  Here are a few quotes from students after that day:

"I learned that a lot of people I go to school with don't necessarily have the great lives I thought they did and they struggle too."  Austin

"We gained the ability to trust each other more."  Kai

"I learned to be more careful of what I say because you never know what others are going through."  Paige

"No one should have to go through things alone.  We can all work harder to support one another."  Lauren

"I learned that a lot of students at our school have hard lives and I will work harder to treat people with more respect."  Teague

These are just some of the many, many positive responses we got from students after we had them write about the experience of Challenge Day. Many wanted to do another "cross the line" activity again to keep the dream alive.  We will continue to build a supportive community and challenge ourselves to "be the change" we want to see in the world.  Thank you so much for the opportunity to open up our school and provide a caring and nurturing environment.
